Our school is a vibrant community with many opportunities to get involved, meet other parents, support your children and teachers, serve others, make a difference, share your talents, and have fun!   If you get connected, and stay connected, to these sources of information, you will be able to find whatever (or whomever) you need at Magellan!

There is a lot going on, and the best place to learn what is happening is in the Magellan Minute, our digital newsletter. It comes out on Wednesday afternoons, and provides up to date news, information related to events happening around campus, and important links to our website.  Keep an eye on the Minute for need to know dates like monthly MaP meetings (all are welcome!), Open Houses, school wide and grade level socials, service opportunities, fun athletic events, and much more!

And our website, in case you didn’t know, is brand new!  It has new features (it’s mobile friendly) and new information (like a dedicated MaP page).  From teacher websites and Powerschool to sports schedules and the school calendar, you can find just about anything you and your student(s) may need on the site. Take some time to get familiar with the layout, and perhaps learn something new about all the great things happening and ways you can get involved at Magellan!

Always be sure to read the grade level newsletters from your teachers!  They contain lots of important information about what your child is learning, what is happening in the classroom, how to support our fabulous teachers, and important dates and tidbits you need to know to keep you connected to your child’s day.

If you are on Facebook, “like” the official MaP Facebook page.

You will receive other communication throughout the year, from Mrs. Rafferty and Mrs. Griffin, your grade level reps, coaches, etc., and those are also important ways to stay on top of what is happening in the life of our school.
