Why the change?
In 2012, Magellan Charter adopted Google Apps for Education as a step toward centralizing information access for faculty, parents and students. Switching the web site and the calendars on our school website was the next logical step in fully adopting Google Apps for Education.

The Google platform  offers fast, easy, secure collaboration.  Our website and document creation tools offer real-time editing, powerful sharing controls, and seamless compatibility – an ideal environment for learning in the 21st century.

Why does the school calendar look different?
Now that the school has the ability to create and maintain multiple calendars (e.g. academic, athletics, college counseling), you can select the calendars that are relevant to you and locate what you’re looking for more quickly.

Research also demonstrates that the effective use of technology leads to creative and innovative experiences and facilitate student skill development as critical thinkers, collaborators and communicators, global learners, and digital citizens.

When at home how will the students web activity be monitored?
